January, 2011 – In a continual effort to meet the needs of the retail and hospitality markets, Pioneer POS Inc. today announced that its StealthTouch S-Line Series is now powered by an EPSON thermal receipt printer. The new enhanced S-Line is an attractive all-in-one touchscreen solution at a very affordable price. It allows Channel Partners to stand out from the competitors, and close more deals with a healthier profit margin.

The S-Line redefines the all-in-one design by integrating an EPSON thermal receipt printer into a touchcomputer. Its compact design will save your precious counter space, reduce cable clutter, and generate additional revenue. The Epson printer prints at a speed of 250mm (9.8") per second, and can take the most commonly used paper roll (80mm wide by 80mm diameter.) Supported printer drivers are ESC/POS, Windows®, and OPOS. The most exciting feature of the S-Line is its patented tool-less "slider" design that enables the printer to be replaced in the field in a couple of minutes, without affecting the entire system.

The S-Line is available in three display sizes: 12", 15", and 17". It is powered by Intel Atom processor, upgradeable to Core 2 Duo processor. It runs most Windows operating systems, including Windows XP Professional, POS Ready 2009, Windows 7, plus Linux. Connectivities include Intel Gigabit network, 4 Serial, USB ports, and poweredUSB ports (+12V and +24V.)

The S-Line offers a wide range of integrated peripherals, such as a magnetic stripe reader, biometric reader, barcode scanner, and secondary display. Its integrated design reduces cable clutter, minimizes setup time, and saves precious counter and retail space. Retailers can utilize the extra counter space to generate additional revenues by selling impulse merchandise. The S-Line can also be strategically placed in the store as a Point-of-Information or Self-Check-Out kiosk to provide convenience and improve customer satisfaction.
