Multi-layer DrawerJune 11, 2008

M-S's launch of the industry-first multi-layer cash drawers has swung into high gear with showings at FSTEC and the RSPA shows. So far there has been a tidal wave of interest in the innovative new products.

These products are actually composed of various full-size and half-size drawers manufactured in different combinations within a single case. "What makes this product line even more exciting is the next generation," says Sam Gopinathan, Vice President. "Application providers will wed their software to the drawer. Identification of a second user will automatically disable drawer #1 and enable drawer #2. Desktop safe versions will have locks activated only by application password or timer; no easy access under the till as it is now. Only the coupon drawer will open when a coupon or frequent shopper or dining card should be offered. The possibilities are limitless!!"
