A new level of flexibility in meeting customers’ application requirements and budgets is now available to M-S Cash Drawer channel partners. Pioneer POS has released a upgraded version of its StealthTouch M5 15” all-in-one touch computer, making it available with Intel's Atom processor and upgradeable to Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz. The Atom processor reduces the unit’s power consumption, allowing it to operate more efficiently and enabling channel partners to promote a more competitively priced all-in-one solution. Channel partners can also configure the touch computer to operate as a diskless, fanless thin client, decreasing dust and grease intake and extending the life of the terminal.

Meanwhile, the option of upgrading to the Dual Core or Core 2 Duo processor makes the SteathTouch M5 ideal for demanding applications. This configuration also supports RAID-1 disk mirroring capability and incorporates Intel's vPro technology, enhancing remote management.

Adding to its versatility, the unit supports several touchscreen technologies, including resistive, Intellitouch SAW, infrared and c apacitive. It also supports other popular Windows operating systems, such as XP Prof, WePOS, and Windows 7. Equally flexible connectivity options encompass the  Intel 10/100/1000 BaseT network, six USB ports, four serial ports, Serials, and a 24-volt-powered USB to power a receipt printer.
